Since the 19th century, Reforma Avenue has been one of the most important avenues in Mexico City. After the earthquake of 1985, its importance declined, despite of the City’s Government continuous effort to increase its value and interest of investment. Little was achieved until year 2000.

Aware of the commercial relevance of this area, Grupo Danhos started its recovery by the conceptualization and development of the first mixed-use project in Mexico, which comprised housing, offices and stores. Reforma 222 radically changed the perception of this commercial corridor, since neither shopping centers nor apartment buildings had been built in this area for more than five hundred years.

Designed by the most prestigious Mexican architect, Teodoro González de León, the success of Reforma 222 set the guidelines that changed the avenue’s profile, which resulted in more than thirty new projects along a mile.

Reforma 222 definitely started a trend in the development of mixed-use complex, which gave place to over ten projects created by other real estate developers in the city. In 2008, and for the second year in a row, Grupo Danhos received the ADI award for the most successful real estate development.
